Nationwide Eid Preparations Underway Following Crescent Moon Sighting
The crescent moon for the Hijri month of Shawwal has been sighted in Saudi Arabia, officially marking the end of Ramadan, as announced by the Saudi Supreme Court. Eid Al-Fitr, the five-day celebration in the Islamic calendar’s 10th month, will begin on Sunday, March 30, with the Eid prayer taking place shortly after sunrise across designated prayer areas and mosques in the Kingdom. Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs Sheikh Abdullatif Al-Alsheikh has directed all branches to ensure these spaces are prepared for a serene experience. Citizens are immersed in Eid preparations, expressing excitement and making arrangements for festive gatherings.

Earlier, the Saudi Supreme Court had asked Muslims to observe the crescent moon on Saturday evening to confirm the start of Shawwal, further involving the community in this significant announcement.
