Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Groundbreaking E-Card Initiative Aims to Revolutionize Property Management and Enhance Transparency
In a significant step toward modernizing land record management, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur announced the launch of the “Jaidad Card,” an electronic, digital passbook designed for secure and convenient access to immovable property records. This initiative, which is part of the broader land reform efforts in the province, will be initially rolled out in the merged districts.
The digital card allows citizens to scan a QR code on the card via a smartphone to instantly access their property details. By leveraging this technology, the KP government aims to ensure tamper-proof land records, reduce property disputes, and make property information more accessible to the public.

The Jaidad Card will store detailed land data for each property owner and can be accessed through a mobile app, allowing users to verify the authenticity of their land records. Chief Minister Gandapur highlighted the role of the initiative in boosting transparency, ensuring security, and resolving longstanding property disputes, which are often caused by inaccessible or manipulated land records. This reform aligns with the provincial government’s broader strategy to utilize Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to improve public services and enhance governance. The move is expected to set a precedent for other provinces, making the digital Jaidad Card a model for future land record reforms across Pakistan.
