Police in Abbottabad’s Lora station have arrested two Afghan nationals for allegedly tearing a Pakistani passport and posting the act on social media. According to private news channel Aaj News, the accused, identified as Azmatullah and Azmat Deen, were detained after a video of them disrespecting the passport went viral online.
The police have registered a case against them under Sections 153A, 504, and the Foreigner Act (Section 14). The authorities stated that the incident has prompted swift action to address public concern over the misuse of national symbols.
