JazzCash and MBL Begin BISP Disbursements, Empowering Over 1.3 Million Women Across Pakistan
In a significant move towards social empowerment, JazzCash and Mobilink Microfinance Bank have commenced the first phase of disbursements under the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP). Over PKR 1 billion has already been distributed in campsites across Hyderabad, Matiari, and Rahim Yar Khan. The partnership aims to provide financial aid to 1.3 million registered women beneficiaries across Pakistan, ensuring responsible and dignified disbursements through special camps and financial literacy initiatives.

Rubina Khalid, Chairperson of BISP, emphasized the importance of collaboration in uplifting marginalized communities, while Aamir Ibrahim, CEO of Jazz, highlighted JazzCash’s role in bridging the financial inclusion gap. JazzCash is committed to offering affordable payment solutions and credit to underserved citizens, making financial access more widespread in the country. To facilitate smooth disbursements, a dedicated complaint management cell has been set up, with agents fluent in regional languages to assist beneficiaries.

Special measures are also being taken to assist people with disabilities and elderly women struggling with fingerprint verification, with debit cards being issued for easier fund withdrawals.
