Pakistani citizens are facing severe financial strain due to skyrocketing electricity bills, with many residents receiving bills higher than their house rents. The public outcry has intensified as senior actor and director Osman Peerzada expressed his deep concern over the situation. During an interview, Peerzada described the bills as “terrifying” and feared that he might not be able to afford them. He worried about how financially weak individuals would survive the extreme heat without electricity, noting that even with solar panels, high taxes are causing widespread panic.

The crisis has also affected the artistic community, with presidential award-winning actor Rashid Mahmood and renowned film star Nisho Begum sharing their struggles. The rising inflation and electricity costs have left many, including celebrities, in a state of despair and uncertainty about their future.
