Pakistan’s energy sector received a significant boost with the announcement of a new gas reservoir discovery in Sindh’s Khairpur Latif block. This discovery, made through the collaboration of Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) and two private firms, marks a pivotal development for the country’s energy security.
Initiated on May 4, the well is now yielding 11.27 million standard cubic feet of gas daily. This substantial output underscores the potential of Pakistan’s natural gas reserves and the importance of effective partnerships within the energy sector.
A consortium spokesperson emphasized that this discovery reflects ongoing efforts to expand the country’s natural gas reserves, showcasing Pakistan’s untapped resource potential and the success of collaborative energy ventures.
