Mubasher Luqman Accuses Pakistani Cricketers of Match-Fixing After T20 World Cup Exit
After Pakistan’s elimination from the T20 World Cup, several players returned home from the United States a week ago. However, Babar Azam, along with Haris Rauf, Imad Wasim, Azam Khan, and Mohammad Amir, stayed behind. Media reports indicate that Babar, Shadab Khan, and other players reduced their public interactions in the US following heavy criticism from fans and media. This change in behavior followed a viral video showing Haris Rauf in a heated verbal altercation with a fan who made negative remarks.
Meanwhile, a pre-season fielding and fitness camp has commenced in Karachi, where camp commandant Muhammad Masroor briefed players about the camp’s activities. The morning session included a gym workout, with 24 camp players participating. Tayyab Tahir and Mubasir Khan are expected to report to the camp tomorrow, while Muhammad Wasim Jr. will complete his rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore.
The camp includes players such as Abdullah Shafique, Faisal Akram, Haseebullah, Hunain Shah, Imam-ul-Haq, Kamran Ghulam, Kashif Ali, Khurram Shahzad, Mehran Mumtaz, Mohammad Haris, Mohammad Huraira, Mohammad Wasim Jr., Mubasir Khan, Muhammad Irfan Khan, Omair Bin Yousuf, Sahibzada Farhan, Sameen Gul, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Saud Shakeel, Shahnawaz Dahani, Tayyab Tahir, Umar Amin, Usman Qadir, and Zahid Mahmood, with one more player to be added next week.
