Gandapur argued against the tax, emphasizing that Naswar is predominantly used by the poor and should not be subjected to additional financial burdens in the forthcoming budget.
Naswar, a moist, powdered tobacco dip, is commonly consumed in Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, and neighboring Central Asian countries. It is typically placed under the lower lip or inside the cheek, known as “Butt style stuffing,” and kept there for 15 to 30 minutes.
