Roelvink’s journey to Islam was influenced by personal challenges, including a serious injury and a battle with testicular cancer in 2022. These experiences prompted him to deepen his faith, eventually leading him to embrace Islam. In recent weeks, he has been actively involved in mosque activities, observing Ramadan and studying the Quran.
His conversion adds to the growing number of people embracing Islam worldwide. According to research by the Pew Research Centre, Islam is the fastest-growing religion, with its followers expected to increase at more than twice the rate of the overall world population between 2015 and 2060.
