Securing four Exploration Blocks as the Operator with a 100% Working Interest and two Exploration Blocks as JV partners, OGDCL’s financial investment is estimated at around 12 million USD.

A significant milestone was marked with the signing ceremony of Petroleum Concession Agreements (PCAs) and Exploration Licences (ELs) for these Blocks on January 24, 2024. The ceremony, held at SIFC Secretariat, Prime Minister Office, Islamabad, was attended by dignitaries including the Minister of Petroleum, Director General SIFC, Secretary Petroleum, DGPC, MD/CEO OGDCL, and other key members.
During the ceremony, MD OGDCL signed PCAs for Sehwan EL (Sindh), Zindan-ll EL (Punjab), Kotra East EL (Baluchistan), and Murradi EL (Sindh), all with a 100% Working Interest. Additionally, non-operated PCAs were signed for Saruna West EL (Baluchistan) and Gambat-ll (Sindh) with OGDCL holding a 30% Working Interest. This marks a strategic move for OGDCL, reinforcing its commitment to exploration and growth in the energy sector.
