Former captain of the Pakistan cricket team, Wasim Akram, has stated that enough is enough; people should not believe in false news circulating on social media regarding the Pakistan team.
After Pakistan’s exit from the Asia Cup, a series of controversial stories started circulating on social media. Addressing this on Tuesday in a post on social media, the former cricketer said that fake news gives rise to hatred, and people should not consider everything on social media as true. Believing in goodness is always easier than believing in evil.
False information fuels animosity; individuals need to exercise caution and refrain from accepting everything on social media as factual.
– Wasim Akram
In our region, fake news gives birth to unnecessary conflicts, resulting in the emergence of hatred, and our differences only increase. Enough is enough; both countries do not need more of such things.
